Automatic testing of gas leak detector
Skryja, Petr ; Malinowski, Radim (referee) ; Novák, Marek (advisor)
This work deals with the automatic testing of an ultrasonic gas leak detector, which has to be tested during normal changes in the development phase. The reader will be acquainted with the basic principles of gas detection, design of the test product, software architecture its implementation. The following is a presentation of the application and instructions for writing tests. In this work, the Beaglebone Black development board with the Debian operating system is used as the core of the entire test product.
A Monitoring and Aggregation Device for Large Amounts of Industry Data
Held, Oliver ; Pánek, Richard (referee) ; Smrž, Pavel (advisor)
This bachelor thesis describes hardware and software development of a monitoring device for the collection of industrial big data. The device is based on the development BeagleBone Black kit together with vibration sensors, temperature sensors and strain gauges. The objective of the thesis is to design a device with respect to low production cost, simplicity and possible modularity. The I2C bus and embedded AD converter are used for the collection of the data from the sensors. The data is sent to remote server using UDP protocol. Furthermore, custom strain gauge module is designed and tested. The practical contribution of the thesis is to test the platform functionality, that includes collection, aggregation and transfer of the data.
Design and implementation of 3D printer with network printing support
Špringer, Radek ; Hošek, Jiří (referee) ; Krajsa, Ondřej (advisor)
The goal of this thesis is to design a 3D printer type delta. To describe 3D printing technologies used by this printer, basic printer features and commercially available material used at the print and its comparison. To define all hardware components, which are necessary for construction of the 3D printer type delta. To create a proposal and construct an expansion board to which all hardware components of the printer will be connected. To optimize the print space heating and cooling of the printout. To extend the 3D printer with a Web server, which will ensure the network printing possibility.
System for Trajectory Tracking of Objects Moving in Space
Jakubíček, Patrik ; Šimek, Václav (referee) ; Strnadel, Josef (advisor)
This thesis deals with a system for tracking the trajectory of the moving object. Further, also for obtaining additional motion data and other information. Thesis focuses on flying objects. There are described all system components and way of their communication. Next, the progress of the expansion unit for measuring by the BeagleBone Black platform. Also there is described testing that took place during aerobatic gliders races, including the demonstrations of recording data and their processing.
Robotic Video Camera Control Using Beaglebone
Chmelař, Jakub ; Franek, Lešek (referee) ; Arm, Jakub (advisor)
This bachelor thesis describes HW and SW equipment of the development board BeagleBone Black and its AM3358 processor. The processor integrates two programmable support units for real time control. This work provides detailed overview of the development board and the support units control possibilities. It includes description of principles of the support units usage and definition of Device Tree configuration file. Purpose of the work is to create SW and HW equipment for the model of robotic camera. This work also describes DPS design and program equipment for stepper motor control using the support units of the AM3358 processor. Additionally the extension of MJPG-Streamer with support unit control possibilities is described at the end of the work.
The Crane Manipulator for the 3D Printer
Khmil, Denys ; Bradáč, Zdeněk (referee) ; Arm, Jakub (advisor)
The aim of this work is to design the architecture of a manipulator that takes the finished product out of the 3D printer. This article deals with the whole concept of the machine, its design in the CAD program Siemens NX12, selection of parts, software development and virtual machine simulating. The manipulator is driven by Machinekit operating system installed on a singleboard computer Beaglebone Black. To control the machine, a client PC application was developed.
Automated hardware testing equipment
Macháček, Jan ; Hošek, Jiří (referee) ; Krajsa, Ondřej (advisor)
This thesis is focused on the design of system for automated testing of hardware on Beagle Bone Black platform. The purpose of this thesis is to develop a complex device which will be able to test the functionality of general electronic devices before completion. Use the external measuring devices and design hardware to control them.
The Crane Manipulator For The 3d Printers
Denys, Khmil
The aim of this work is to design the architecture of a manipulator that takes the finished product out of the 3D printer. This article deals with the whole concept of the machine, its design in the CAD program Siemens NX12, selection of parts, software development, and real prototype assembling. The manipulator is driven by LinuxCNC ecosystem installed on a single-board computer Beaglebone Black. To control the machine, a client PC application was developed. The manipulator movements are achieved using the tooth rail gearing and closed loop stepper motors Nema23.
Device For Automatic Testing Of Ultrasonic Gas Leak Detector
Skryja, Petr
In this paper a device for automatic testing of the gas leak detector is presented. The device allows testing product which is an embedded device that is improved during a development. This requires testing the product after each implementation of a new feature, as there may be situations where this implementation will stop some part of the product from being functional. For realization mini PC Beaglebone Black was used and software architecture of this device is introduced. The presented device is able to do automatic testing that is more accurate and faster than human testing.
